A New Life for an Old Treasure

Makers and Holm Leather Jacket.jpg

When Art Cornell finally settled down in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, he was ready to part with remnants of his adventurous past and focus on the quieter days ahead as a full time artist. Gone were the days of motorcycle racing and world travels, and time to let go of the old leather jackets that survived the exciting journey.

Perhaps not meant to be worn by another, but still too cool to call it a day, this brown leather jacket was destined for a new adventure. Found in the back of second-hand shop, the well-loved garment became the inspiration for our first product collaboration

After being professionally cleaned and deconstructed, the transformation resulted in two products for the home, both of which exude the original quality. Well made, genuine, timeless, sophisticated, yet practical. The soft, buttery leather lends to the down-to-earth feel of these color block pillows and napkins rings. Classic style design for the eco-conscious home.
